A withering traditional Icelandic fishing culture influenced the forms & colors of this Collection.
The abstracted pieces are inspired by the fishing nets that have weighed down fishermen for centuries.
A background in fine arts inspired the unconventional approach to the silhouette design
and the gravity-defying drape of the dress.
The 2-color cardigan stitch flared pants were knit on a Stoll Industrial Power Machine.
The textural tank top under-layer was knit on a hand frame machine using a “weaving technique”.
The color combination was inspired by fishing nets, where different colored nets
are used for harvesting different fish species.
Three-dimensional hand-constructed boning panels, in six different colors,
are handknit in a pointelle stitch.
